______________ WINTER FESTIVAL I met Louise Decker in 2002 when I interviewed her for FACES & PLACES. Through her, I learned about the Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival, which she started in 1995. Since then, I have been involved in one way or another with the Winter Festival. (Currently, I manage the website www.WinterFestival.net.) What I love most about the annual Winter Festival is that it takes place equally on both sides of the Delaware, helping to unite Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA into a cohesivecommunity. Isnt it great when that happens? Events span an entire week, usually the last week in January, and the Winter Festival never conflicts with Super Bowl weekend. (I think Winter Festival was held over Super Bowl weekend one time many years ago disaster! Lesson learned.) There are activities for all ages and interests and many of them are FREE. The best part is that ALL net proceeds are donated to community organizations. If you have never come out for Winter Festival, please consider this year.
